The Regatta House (Cas di Regatta), the home base of the “little” sailors, is located on the boulevard in the center of Kralendijk. The BSSA was established 10 years ago and then named the Bonaire Sunfish Sailing Ass. with mainly Sunfish sailors and sailing fishing boats. At present this has been expanded to include the youth club Optimist sailors (8-12 years), followed by the Sunfish sailors, for the ages of 12 and older up to adults of all ages. The Cas di Regatta is a safe home port for Cat and Lasers sailors as well. Therefore, the BSSA has been aptly renamed the Bonaire Sailing School Association at its 10Th anniversary. The BSSA is a non-profit association with more than 35 members. All activities are being organized by volunteers.

An extensive teaching program offers you the opportunity on Bonaire to put sailing on this world class sea into practice.

Lots of activities are being organized, such as internal races, camp-outs and special events, for example the Year End Race, where Optimist, Sunfishes, Lasers and Cats compete with even local fishing boats and the so-called micro boats (model boats)!

Cas di Regatta is also the center for the Bonaire Regatta which is held each October (www.bonaireregatta.com).

Whether you are on Bonaire for a holiday or residing here for a longer period; you can always take lessons, rent a sailing boat or participate in one of BSSA’s activities.
